Wales’ unbeaten run in the Under-21 Championships came to an end last night. Wales took the lead through an excellent goal from Joe Allen (who also appeared for the senior side in their win over Scotland on Saturday), and Wrexham keeper Chris Maxwell saved a Bosnia penalty.

Joe Allen, Simon Church, Ched Evans, Andy King and Sam Vokes (all of whom played as Wales beat Scotland 3-0) and Darcy Blake, David Cornell and Adam Matthews (who stayed on the bench) are part of the under-21 squad who will face Bosnia-Herzegovina on Wednesday 18th November.

Scotland were the first to settle and right up until David Edwards scored for Wales they looked very dangerous. 1. Wayne Hennessey -Wayne was always there when Scotland managed to get a shot on target. One save in particular was outstanding. His goal kicks are not only very strong, they’re the loudest I’ve ever heard!

The latest call-up as Darcy Blake, a Cardiff City player who is on loan at Plymouth Argyle.

The latest drop-out is Chris Gunter who has a virus and/or glandular fever. Part of me wants to give him a big hug. Part of me wants to stay as far away from him as possible.

His team-mate Robert Earnshaw is the latest doubt.
